• Georgia rule: septic approval from county Environmental Health comes BEFORE the mobile home move-in permit (GA DPH rule 511-3-1) - call Environmental Health first, especially for a lot with an existing septic system

Manufactured Home Notes

• All manufactured homes must receive an electrical inspection from the Building Inspection Department; the manufactured home permit fee includes this inspection.
• Moving a mobile home also requires a moving permit from the Laurens County Tax Assessors Office, (478) 272-6443.

Georgia installations must follow the state Rules for Manufactured Homes (O.C.G.A. Title 8-2) using state-licensed installers; a state installation permit and insignia are required, plus the county permits above.
