• Georgia rule: septic approval from county Environmental Health comes BEFORE the mobile home move-in permit (GA DPH rule 511-3-1) - call Environmental Health first, especially for a lot with an existing septic system

• County Code of Ordinances Chapter 6 covers building permits; code enforcement handles zoning, safety, and building regulations not covered by state law.
• Under Georgia law, owners locating a mobile home must apply to the county tax commissioner for a location permit within 30 days of placement and display an annual decal (renewed Jan 1 - Apr 1).

Georgia installations must follow the state Rules for Manufactured Homes (O.C.G.A. Title 8-2) using state-licensed installers; a state installation permit and insignia are required, plus the county permits above.
