Manufactured home requirements:

• Georgia rule: septic approval from county Environmental Health comes BEFORE the mobile home move-in permit (GA DPH rule 511-3-1) - call Environmental Health first, especially for a lot with an existing septic system
• Existing septic system inspection typically required for mobile home relocation; Level 3 soil report required for all septic permits

Manufactured Home Notes

• Building permits are purchased through the Code Enforcement office at the courthouse; the code enforcement officer performs building inspections.
• Zoning rules (including where manufactured homes may go) are in Chapter 126 of the county's Land Development Code (Subpart B of the county code).

Georgia installations must follow the state Rules for Manufactured Homes (O.C.G.A. Title 8-2) using state-licensed installers; a state installation permit and insignia are required, plus the county permits above.
