• Florida septic permits are now a state DEP program, but this county's health department Environmental Health office still takes the applications and issues the permits locally

Manufactured Home Notes

• Department issues manufactured home permits for mobile home installation; permit types include MOBILE HOME NEW/REPLACEMENT and MOBILE HOME PRE-INSPECTION.
• Building permit applications are reviewed twice per day, at 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
• Applications are filed through the county's OpenGov portal at countyoflevyfl.portal.opengov.com; payments, attachments and drawings must still be submitted in person in non-electronic format.
• A Zoning Compliance Form from Levy County Planning and Zoning is required before any residential (site built or mobile home) building permit application - request it at Planning@LevyCounty.org and allow up to three weeks.
• Office is at 375 Garner Street, Suite B; mail goes to 310 School Street, Suite 112, Bronson, FL 32621.
• Parcels inside the Town of Bronson need the town's Zoning Compliance Verification before applying for the county building permit.

Florida installations follow FS 320 and Rule 15C-1/15C-2 (DHSMV) with licensed installers and installation decals; county building permits, tie-downs and wind-zone compliance apply.
